Abstract

Abstract : This article reports on the results of a research on the role of representations in constructing the professional identity of french teachers to be in middle school in initial training at the ENS of Bouzareah in Algiers. Combining the questionnaire survey with the analysis of face-to face interviews carried out with a group of trainees, our investigations focused on the representations of the teaching profession by carrying out a categorical analysis of the content of the collected data. The obtained results show a development in representations after the practical training at schools and confirm the beginning of the process of the professional identity construction in this group of future teachers.

résumé : Cet article rend compte des résultats d’une recherche portant sur le rôle des représentations dans la construction de l’identité professionnelle des futurs enseignants de français du cycle moyen, en formation initiale à l’ENS de Bouzaréah à Alger. Combinant l'enquête par questionnaire à l’analyse des entretiens d’auto confrontation réalisées auprès d’un groupe de stagiaires, nos investigations ont porté essentiellement sur les représentations du métier d’enseignant en procédant à une analyse catégorielle de contenu des données recueillies. Les résultats obtenus montrent une évolution des représentations après le stage pratique et témoignent de l’amorce du processus de l’identité professionnelle chez ce groupe de futurs enseignants.
