Abstract

This study, entitled The Fictional Biography and Its Manifestations in Contemporary Algerian Literature, examines the hybrid genre of fictional biography, exploring its development and its intersection with both biography and the novel. The research analyzes the narrative pillars of space, time, and character across four chapters, applying theoretical frameworks to the works À Travers Fleurs et Épines by Z’hour Ounissi and Le Livre du Prince by Waciny Laredj. It also investigates the semiotics of passions in narrative, guided by the theories of Greimas and John Fontani. The study concludes by highlighting key findings on the structural, temporal, and character-based dimensions of Algerian fictional biographies and their aesthetic and narrative significance.
