Abstract

Abstract : This text, which combines literary reading and sociolinguistic inquiry, allows the author to revisit the works of Isabelle Eberhardt in order to examine the conscious or unconscious processes involved in the construction of her gendered, linguistic, and writing-related social identity as a writer.

Résumé : Ce texte, qui joint lecture littéraire et interrogation sociolinguistique, permet à l’auteur de revisiter les textes d’Isabelle-Mahmoud Eberhardt, pour se demander de quels jeux, conscients ou inconscients, a fait l’objet, pour cette écrivain-e, sa construction de son identité sociale genrée, linguistique et scripturale.
