La langue « double » chez Malek Haddad

Abstract

Abstract : The spread of the French language in the colonies gave rise to a French language literature produced by the colonized. In addition to mastering his native language, the colonized practices, now, a second language, the language of the colon. It is interesting to see how this appropriation of the dominant power language was made and what relationship will be established between the two languages. To that end, we will rely on two novels of Malek Haddad La Dernière Impression: The Last Impression and Je t’offrirai une gazelle: I'll offer you a gazelle, in which we analyze the appropriation of the French language and the work carried out by the author on this language. In fact, he shapes his writing in order to highlight the influence of the native language on the adopted language. He instills his native culture into the French language through different linguistic processes. We define in this case, the language as "double".

Résumé : La diffusion de la langue française dans les colonies a donné naissance à une littérature d'expression française produite par le colonisé. En plus de maîtriser sa langue natale, ce dernier pratique, dorénavant, une deuxième langue, la langue du colon. Il nous semble intéressant de voir comment se produit l"appropriation de la langue du dominant et quel rapport va s'établir entre les deux langues. Pour ce faire, nous nous appuyons sur les deux romans de Malek Haddad La Dernière impression et Je t’offrirai une gazelle, dans lesquels nous avons analysé cette appropriation de la langue française et le travail qu'effectue l'auteur sur cette dernière. En effet, il façonne son écriture de sorte à mettre en lumière le travail que fait la langue natale sur la langue adoptée. Il insuffle sa culture d'origine à la langue française à travers différents procédés linguistiques. Nous pouvons parler dans ce cas d"une langue « double ».
