The Reality of Social Skills within the University Institution: Students of Social Sciences at Ibn Khaldoun University in Tiaret as a Model

Abstract

The current study aimed to diagnose the reality of social skills among students of theDepartment of Social Sciences at Ibn Khaldoun University in Tiaret, considering that social skills are an important indicator of a student's ability to communicate socially and build human relationships within the university institution. The study sample consisted of 100 male and female students from the Department of Social Sciences. To achieve this goal, a social skills scale developed by Ahmed Alwan was used. By following the descriptive approach, the study reached the following results: -Most students of the Department of Social Sciences at Ibn Khaldoun University in Tiaret have a high level of social skills. -Most students of the Department of Social Sciences at Ibn Khaldoun University in Tiaret demonstrate a high level of cooperation skills. -Most students of the Department of Social Sciences at Ibn Khaldoun University in Tiaret show a high level of work habits skills. -Most students of the Department of Social Sciences at Ibn Khaldoun University in Tiaret exhibit a high level of self-control skills.
