Abstract : In Michel Tournier's La Goutte d'or, Idriss is a marginalized character who embodies otherness and exclusion. He comes from a Berber minority that is often marginalized from Arab-Muslim populations, and is then seen through Western eyes, frozen in an exoticized image by a stolen photograph. His migratory journey, from his village to France, has accentuated his status as a minority in a society that rejects him. Faced with an imposed assimilation, he undergoes a symbolic confinement, reminiscent of prison writing where reclusion becomes a metaphor for alienation. Through Idriss, Michel Tournier offers a reflection on cultural domination, the loss of identity and the difficulty of reappropriating one's own destiny in the face of imposed otherness. This article looks at why Idriss embodies marginality and minority, caught between otherness, exclusion and symbolic imprisonment. Résumé : Dans La Goutte d’or de Michel Tournier, Idriss est un personnage marginalisé qui incarne l’altérité et l’exclusion. Il est d’abord issu d’une minorité berbère souvent marginalisée par rapport aux populations arabo-musulmane, Ensuite perçu à travers le regard occidental, figé dans une image exotique par une photographie volée. Son parcours migratoire, de son village à la France, a accentué son statut de minoritaire dans une société qui le rejette. Face à une assimilation imposée, il subit un enfermement symbolique, rappelant l’écriture carcérale où la réclusion devient une métaphore de l’aliénation. À travers Idriss, Michel Tournier propose une réflexion sur la domination culturelle, la perte d’identité et la difficulté de se réapproprier Idriss, un héros en marge : L’itinéraire d’un personnage minoritaire chez Michel Tournier son propre destin face à une altérité subie.
