Abstract
This study explores pragmatic philosophy, its origins, key thinkers, theoretical foundations, and manifestations in American society. The first part examines conceptual approaches, including the linguistic and technical definitions of pragmatism and its historical development. The second part analyzes American pragmatist philosophers: Charles Sanders Peirce, William James, and John Dewey, highlighting their approaches to meaning, belief, knowledge, experience, and democracy.
The study also investigates pragmatism’s practical manifestations in the U.S., including economic, political, cultural, and media domains. Finally, it discusses the theoretical foundations of pragmatism across Greek, Roman, Islamic, and modern traditions, and evaluates its impact on contemporary intellectual, cultural, and economic consciousness.
