Abstract

Abstract : This course in comparative literature primarily aims to introduce students to the fundamental theoretical concepts of the discipline. It also seeks to engage them in delivering presentations to practice the comparative analysis of literary works. The comparison focuses on texts that share common themes, with the goal of examining the processes of rewriting, transformation, and the transition from one work to another. The course also explores the relationships between literature and other arts, such as painting, music, cinema, and photography.

Résumé : Ce cours de littérature comparée vise d’abord à initier les étudiants aux notions théoriques fondamentales de la discipline. Il a également pour objectif de les amener à réaliser des exposés afin de s’exercer à l’analyse comparative des œuvres littéraires. La comparaison porte sur des textes partageant des thématiques communes, afin d’étudier les processus de réécriture, de transformation et de passage d’une œuvre à une autre. Le cours s’intéresse aussi aux relations entre la littérature et les autres arts, tels que la peinture, la musique, le cinéma et la photographie.
