dc.description.abstractThis study explores the political dimensions of educational thought in Ikhwan al-Safa, highlighting how their concepts of education were closely linked to politics, state-building, and social organization. Ikhwan al-Safa viewed education not merely as individual or moral instruction, but as a fundamental tool for shaping virtuous individuals who contribute to societal stability and justice. The research focuses on the concept of the state and its significance, the role of education in promoting political values, and the relationship between education and governance. Education is seen as a means of cultivating religious and ethical values that enable effective participation in public life. The study also examines the notions of freedom and religious principles as integral components of Ikhwan al-Safa’s educational and political philosophy. The findings indicate that Ikhwan al-Safa developed a comprehensive political-educational vision, linking the formation of virtuous individuals to the creation of a just society, and emphasizing the role of education as a tool for political and moral stability in Islamic communities.
